new century dance has integrated with zoom!

Following our success and startup with Google Meet, NCD will be transitioning over to Zoom. Zoom is a similar platform to Google Meet but provides more tools dedicated for the learning environment and is much more intuitive for the general populace to use.

Starting from Memorial Day onward (5/25) we will be using Zoom with our classes.

How will nCD use zoom?

Essentially, students will be provided a zoom meeting link to their respective classes. This will vary from teacher to teacher as some will WeChat it to the class or will incorporate the class into a google calendar event to access the link.

What is great about zoom is once the meeting link is scheduled, it does not disappear; once you have that link, you can access your class whenever it happens - you don’t need a new link each time!

How do I use zoom With google calendar?

  1. Download Zoom from https://zoom.us/

  2. Look up Google Calendar on your web browser.

3. Once you are on your Google Calendar, you should see an event for the class you are in. You then just click on the event to open it, then click on “Join Zoom Meeting”.

4. You will be taken to a new tab in your browser and a pop up will ask to “open Zoom.us”. Allow it and you will be taken to your zoom application where it will open your class - your teacher will then approve you when they are ready and your class can begin!

学费 HOW WILL OUR TUITION FEES BE AFFECTED?

The primary reason we are adapting our school to this online format is due to the shelter-in-place order mandated by the governor of California. Because of this, we will be continuing to use this format of instruction until this order is uplifted.

As for tuition payment structure, we are keeping it the same with some logistical changes to accommodate for our newfound circumstances. You can either mail a check* to our studio address, pay them through our available online platforms (please refer to the “Classes” page in the About section for more information)
